Is $31 a good price for one board?

At $31.00 at Warehouse '71 as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end for a capped 20-foot composite board. Compare against the other 3 stores before buying a full deck's worth.

Do I need special fasteners?

Yes. The grooved edge is made for Fiberon Phantom GT hidden fasteners, which are not included with the board. Budget for clips across the whole deck.

How many boards will I need?

At 5 1/4 inches wide, plan on roughly 2.3 boards per foot of deck width, plus waste. A 12-foot-wide deck needs about 28 boards before cuts.

Can I use it for a ground-level or fire-rated deck?

Yes, it is rated for outdoor installation. If your project needs a fire-rated assembly, ask for the fire-rated version of this board.

Is it slippery when wet?

Capped composite is textured but can be slick when wet, especially in shade. It is not a substitute for a slip-resistant surface on stairs.
