What size pool does the FH220 handle?

At 20,000 BTU it fits small pools, roughly up to 5,000 gallons in a mild climate. Larger pools will lose heat faster than it can add it.

Does it need a special electrical circuit?

Yes. It runs on a dedicated 240V, 60Hz circuit, so budget for an electrician if you do not already have one near the pool.

Yes, it has heat and cool modes. Cooling output is modest at this size, so expect a few degrees of relief rather than chilled water.

Initial heating can take 2-3 days, depending on pool size, air temperature and whether you use a cover.

No. It ships with fittings for a quick above-ground hookup, though you still need the 240V power run and a level pad.

Pool heaters tend to discount in late summer and early fall, after the peak season. Track the price history before buying.
