Is the Fire HD 10 worth it at $74.99?

At $74.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is a strong buy for video, reading and light browsing. It is not a substitute for an iPad or a full Android tablet if you need Google apps.

How is it different from the Fire HD 8?

The Fire HD 10 has a 10.1-inch screen and a faster octa-core chip, while the Fire HD 8 is smaller and slower. The 10 is the better pick for watching video; the 8 is easier to hold.

Does it have Google Play?

No. It runs Amazon's Fire OS 9 (Pie) with the Amazon Appstore, so Google Play apps like YouTube and Gmail need workarounds or the browser.

How much storage do I need?

32 GB holds only a handful of downloaded movies and apps. Plan on a microSD card, which it supports up to 512 GB, if you download media.

Does it have a headphone jack?

Yes. It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and USB-C charging, and it supports Bluetooth headphones.
