Is 10k white gold good for a thin chain?

It works, but 10k is the minimum gold standard and is softer and less scratch resistant than 14k. On a 1mm chain, treat it gently and avoid pulling on it.

Should I get the 1mm or the 1.3mm?

Choose 1mm for a barely-there layered look and 1.3mm if you want a bit more presence or plan to hang a small pendant. Both are delicate; neither is a heavy-duty chain.

Will the white gold stay white?

White gold is rhodium plated, so it looks bright at first and can dull to a warmer tone as the plating wears. Replating is routine and inexpensive at most jewelers.

Is $114.30 a good price?

At $114.30 at Target as of November 5, 2026, it is the lowest of the four stores listing it new. For 10k gold at 18 inches, that is a typical entry-level price rather than a deep discount.

The chain only. No pendant, gift box or polishing cloth is listed, so plan on your own packaging if it is a gift.

Can I wear it in the shower or pool?

Better not. Chlorine and repeated water exposure wear down the rhodium plating and can dull the links, so take it off before swimming or showering.

Our take on the Floreo 10k White Gold 1mm or 1.3mm Singapore Chain Necklace

This is a thin 10k white gold Singapore chain from Floreo, 18 inches long, offered in 1mm and 1.3mm widths. The twisted Singapore link gives it a bit more sparkle than a plain cable chain, but at this gauge it is a delicate piece meant for layering or a small pendant. The best new price is $114.30 at Target as of November 5, 2026, with four stores selling it new.
