Our take on the FlowLuxe 83-Inch Wide Sage Green Velvet 3-Seater Sofa

The FlowLuxe is an 83-inch, three-seat Chesterfield sofa in sage green velvet with button tufting. The long frame and deep tufting give it a formal, traditional look that suits large living rooms. Velvet shows marks and needs regular brushing, so it is not the easiest fabric for heavy daily use. No current price was provided, so its standing against its recent range cannot be stated.

Best forBuyers who want a large, formal Chesterfield for a main living roomRooms with a traditional or maximalist lookShoppers set on velvet and a sage green colorHouseholds that treat the sofa as a showpiece rather than a daily crash pad
Pros
  • 83-inch width seats three with room to spread out
  • Button tufting and rolled Chesterfield arms read as classic
  • Sage green velvet is a less common, softer alternative to grey or navy
  • Velvet has a dense, soft hand and hides the frame seams well
Cons
  • Velvet crushes and shows hand marks, pet hair and lint
  • Button tufting traps crumbs and dust and is hard to clean
  • Formal Chesterfield shape limits casual, deep-seated lounging
  • 83 inches is long; measure doorways and stair turns before ordering
  • No price given, so value cannot be judged

Questions and answers

Is a velvet sofa practical for everyday family use?
Only with care. Velvet is durable but crushes where people sit and picks up pet hair and lint. Brush it with a soft brush and keep food and drinks off it if children use the room daily.
Will an 83-inch sofa fit through my door?
Measure the doorway width, hallway turns and any stair landing first. An 83-inch frame usually ships in one piece, so a tight turn can block delivery even when the room itself is big enough.
How do I clean button-tufted velvet?
Vacuum on low suction with a brush attachment and blot spills right away with a clean cloth. Do not rub, because wet velvet can mat. Deep cleaning is best left to a professional upholstery cleaner.
Does the sage green look different in person?
Velvet shifts with the light, so sage can look grey-green in shade and warmer in daylight. Ask for a fabric swatch before committing to a large piece.
When is the best time to buy a sofa like this?
Sofa prices usually dip around major holiday sales and at the end of a season. Track the price history on this page and compare across stores before buying.
