Our take on the Fluance Elite High Definition Surround Sound Home Theater 7.0 Channel Speaker System

The Fluance Elite is a seven-piece passive speaker set: two tower fronts, a center, two surrounds and two rear or height speakers, all in a natural wood finish. It gives you a full 7.0 layout without a subwoofer, so you add your own powered sub for low bass. The set is aimed at buyers building a home theater on a budget. At $642.99 at Newegg as of November 8, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Best forBuilding a first 7.0 home theater on a budgetRooms where a matching wood-finish speaker set mattersBuyers who already own or plan to add a powered subwooferAV receiver owners who want passive speakers, not wireless ones
Pros
  • Seven speakers cover a full 7.0 layout in one purchase
  • Tower fronts and a dedicated center suit movie dialogue and effects
  • Natural wood finish looks better than most budget black boxes
  • Passive design works with any standard AV receiver
  • No built-in amps or wireless modules to fail or date
Cons
  • No subwoofer included, so deep bass needs an extra purchase
  • No AirPlay, Spotify Connect or any streaming built in
  • Seven speakers take real floor and wall space
  • Towers and surrounds are heavy to ship and place
  • Setup and calibration fall entirely on your receiver

Questions and answers

Does this system include a subwoofer?
No. It is a 7.0 set, so there is no subwoofer in the box. Add a powered subwoofer for deep bass.
What receiver do I need to drive it?
Any 7-channel AV receiver with standard speaker terminals works. The speakers are passive, so the receiver supplies all the power.
Is it wireless or does it support AirPlay or Spotify?
No. There is no AirPlay, AirPlay 2 or Spotify Connect built in. Streaming comes from your receiver or a separate streamer.
How much space does the full set need?
Plan for two tower fronts on the floor, a center under or above the TV, and four surrounds on stands or walls. A small room will feel crowded.
Is $642.99 a good price?
Newegg lists it at $642.99 as of November 8, 2026, and it is the only new price shown. With no other new listings to compare, judge it against what a comparable seven-speaker set costs.
Where is the Fluance Elite High Definition Surround Sound Home Theater 7.0 Channel Speaker System cheapest?
At Newegg, for $642.99, as of our latest check.
