Our take on the Frontgate Whitmore Sofa, Ivory Linen Parks Performance

The Frontgate Whitmore Sofa is a traditional American-made sofa with English rolled arms, turned wood legs and a kiln-dried hardwood frame joined with mortise and tenon. Its seat cushion uses high-density foam wrapped in feathers and down, and the loose cushions and Parks performance linen cover make it practical for everyday family use. It is handcrafted in North Carolina. No current price or recent price range is available for this configuration.

Questions and answers

Is the Whitmore sofa worth the price?
It is a solidly built US-made sofa with a hardwood frame and down-wrapped cushions, which is more construction than most mass-market sofas offer. Whether it is worth it depends on the price you find and how much you value the traditional look.
How does it compare with Frontgate's other sofas?
The Whitmore leans traditional with rolled arms and turned legs, while many Frontgate sofas use cleaner track or slope arms. Choose the Whitmore if you want a classic English look; pick a simpler frame for a modern room.
Is the Parks performance linen easy to clean?
Parks is a performance fabric designed to resist stains and wipe clean, which helps with an ivory cover. Blot spills promptly and follow Frontgate's care instructions rather than machine washing the covers.
How big is the Whitmore sofa?
It is a full-size traditional sofa, so measure your room and doorways before ordering. The rolled arms and deep seat take up more floor space than a slim modern sofa.
What is in the box?
You get the sofa with its frame, cushions and legs, which may need light assembly. Confirm delivery details with the seller, since large furniture often ships by freight.
When is the best time to buy it?
Frontgate runs seasonal furniture promotions, often around major holiday sales. Watch the price history and buy when the discount is deepest rather than at full price.
