Our take on the Fxxnnn Knife Set 13pc German Stainless Steel

The Fxxnnn 13-piece knife set bundles the core kitchen knives, kitchen shears, a sharpener and a wooden storage block in one package. Blades are stainless steel, and the set is marketed as German stainless, though the brand is a budget label rather than a known German cutlery maker. It suits a first kitchen or a gift where one purchase covers everything. No current price was supplied, so check the live comparison before buying.

Replacing a mismatched drawer of old knives
Pros
  • 13 pieces cover most everyday cutting tasks
  • Storage block keeps knives organized and off the counter
  • Kitchen shears and sharpener included
  • Stainless steel blades resist rust with basic care
  • One purchase instead of buying knives separately
Cons
  • Budget-brand steel, not comparable to real German forged knives
  • Likely stamped rather than forged blades, so thinner and lighter
  • Block takes up counter space
  • Edge retention is usually modest at this tier
  • No current price given, so value is hard to judge

Questions and answers

Is this set worth it?
For a first kitchen or a spare set, yes, if the price is low. If you cook daily and care about sharpness, spend more on two or three good knives instead.
Is it really German steel?
Treat 'German stainless steel' as a marketing description of the steel type, not proof of German manufacture. Fxxnnn is a budget brand, and the knives are unlikely to be forged in Germany.
Are the knives forged or stamped?
At this price point they are almost certainly stamped, meaning cut from sheet steel. That makes them lighter and thinner than forged knives.
What is in the box?
A 13-piece set with a wooden block, the main kitchen knives, kitchen shears and a sharpener. Exact contents vary, so confirm the piece list before ordering.
How should I care for them?
Hand wash and dry them rather than using a dishwasher, which dulls edges and can damage handles. Hone them regularly with the included sharpener.
When is it cheapest?
Sets like this usually drop during holiday sales and back-to-school promotions. Check the price history chart to see the recent low before buying.
