Is $243.98 a good price for this tool box?

It is the only new price found, $243.98 at Lowe's as of November 8, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge it against. Compare it with other 60-inch steel underbody boxes before deciding.

Will it fit my truck?

At 60 inches wide it is built for full-size pickups. Measure the space between your bed rails and check the box's depth and mounting brackets before buying.

Is steel the right material for an underbody box?

Steel is strong and handles heavy tools well, but it weighs more than aluminum and can rust where the coating chips. Check the finish and touch up scratches.

Can I install it myself?

Underbody boxes usually bolt to the frame or bed supports and may need drilling. Basic hand tools are enough, but a helper makes holding a 60-inch steel box easier.

What should I check when it arrives?

Inspect the steel for dents and the coating for chips, and confirm the keys, latch and mounting hardware are included. Report damage before installing.
