Does the price include a mattress?

No. It is frame only, so you need to buy a king mattress separately.

Do I need a box spring?

No. The frame includes slats, which support a mattress directly. A box spring is optional if you want extra height.

How much storage do the drawers give?

There are two drawers under the frame. They suit bedding, shoes or off-season clothes, but they are shallow and not a full dresser replacement.

Is $243.60 a good price?

It is the only new price listed as of November 6, 2026, at Macy's, so there is no recent range to judge it against. Compare it with other king upholstered beds with storage before deciding.

How hard is assembly?

Expect a few hours. A king frame with slats and drawers has many parts, and two people make it much easier.

How do I clean the velvet?

Vacuum it with a soft brush attachment and blot spills right away. Avoid harsh cleaners, which can flatten or stain the pile.
