Questions and answers

Is this a mattress or just a pad?

It is a futon pad, 3 or 4 inches thick, designed to be laid on the floor. It has no springs or dense foam core, so expect a firm, low-to-the-ground sleep.

Which size should I pick for one person?

A Twin suits one adult or a child. Full and Queen give more room to roll over and work better for couples or for use as a lounging mat.

Should I get the 3-inch or 4-inch version?

The 4-inch version cushions pressure points better and suits side sleepers. The 3-inch version packs smaller and is fine for naps, kids and occasional guests.

Can I use it on a bed frame or only on the floor?

It works on the floor, on a tatami mat or laid over a hard mattress as a topper. On a slatted frame it may sag between the slats.

Is $72.99 a good price?

It is the only new price listed, at Lowe's as of November 7, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge it against. Compare it with other Queen floor futons before deciding.

How do I clean it?

Spot clean the floral cover and air the pad regularly. Check the care label before machine washing, since large pads are hard to fit in home machines.
