Is the Garvee drafting table worth it at $142.99?

At $142.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a tilting, height-adjustable surface with a stool and storage. If you need a solid wood top or heavy drawer loads, spend more.

The frame adjusts from about 26.8 to 35.8 inches, which covers seated work for most adults and light standing use. The stool height is fixed.

Can I use it for a laptop instead of drawing?

Yes. Set the tilt near flat and the height to your chair, and it works as a regular desk. The 75-degree tilt is for drawing, not for a laptop.

What is the top made of?

The listing describes a glass desktop over an engineered wood top on a metal base. Use a cutting mat if you draw with blades.

What comes in the box?

The table, the stool, two non-woven drawers and a metal side shelf. Assembly tools and instructions are included, but assembly is required.

It has been priced around $143 to $160 recently. Watch for drops below $140 during sales events.
