Is the Geevon weather station worth it?

For about $22.49 it is a cheap way to watch indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. If you want wind, rain or pressure data, spend more on a fuller station.

Does it need batteries or an outlet?

The display is corded and powered over USB, so it needs an outlet or USB adapter. The outdoor sensor is wireless and battery-powered.

How far can the outdoor sensor be from the display?

Geevon rates the wireless link for typical home distances, roughly 100 feet in open air. Walls and metal cut that range, so mount the sensor on the same side of the house.

Can it alert me when it gets too cold?

Yes. You can set a temperature limit and the station sounds an audio alert when the reading crosses it, which helps with pipes, plants or pets.

Is it safe for commercial use?

It is marketed for commercial and residential use, but it has no NRTL listing. For a workplace or insured property, check whether your code requires a listed device.

When is the price lowest?

Budget stations like this tend to dip during fall and winter weather-gear sales and around Black Friday. Track the price history before buying.

Our take on the Geevon Wireless Indoor Outdoor Weather Station Thermometer Hygrometer

The Geevon is a budget wireless weather station with an LCD screen that shows indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity from a remote sensor. It runs on corded power over USB and adds an audio alert, so it can warn you when readings cross a set limit. At $22.49 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price listed and sits at the low end of what a basic multi-sensor station costs.
