Does the Giantex daybed include a mattress?

No. It is a frame only, so you supply a twin mattress. A standard twin fits the slat base.

What size mattress does it take?

It is built for a twin-size mattress. Check the listed inner dimensions before buying, since upholstered arms eat into usable width.

Is it sturdy enough for adults?

The frame is rated to 440 lbs across 13 slats and six legs, which covers most adults. The metal connections are meant to limit wobble.

Can two people sleep on it?

No. It is a twin-size daybed, so it sleeps one person. It works as a sofa for two during the day.

How much assembly is needed?

You attach the legs, slats and side panels. Expect roughly an hour with two people and a screwdriver.

When is the best time to buy?

Furniture prices from this brand move around holidays and back-to-school sales. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.

Our take on the Giantex Upholstered Daybed

The Giantex Upholstered Daybed is a velvet-upholstered frame that works as a sofa by day and a bed by night. It has 13 plywood slats and six solid wood legs rated to 440 lbs, plus 8.5 inches of clearance underneath for storage or a robot vacuum. The padded backrest and armrests are wrapped in soft velvet. It suits guest rooms, small living rooms and studies where one piece has to do two jobs.
