Our take on the GlareWheel EB-C1 Electric Scooter

The GlareWheel EB-C1 is a folding adult electric scooter with 12-inch air-filled tires, front and rear disc brakes, and a 265 lb weight capacity. It claims 15–18 mph and up to 15 miles of range, with a 25-degree hill-climb rating. The 84 W power figure listed is far below what a scooter reaching those speeds needs, so treat the speed and range claims with caution. No current price was provided, so check live store prices before buying.

Pros
  • 265 lb capacity suits heavier riders
  • 12-inch air-filled tires absorb bumps better than small solid wheels

Cons
  • 84 W listed power looks inconsistent with 15–18 mph claims
  • 15-mile range is modest for commuting
  • Air-filled tires can puncture and need inflation
  • No price or store data available to judge value
  • Brand support and parts availability are limited

Questions and answers

Is the GlareWheel EB-C1 worth it?
It depends on the price you find. The 265 lb capacity, 12-inch air tires and dual disc brakes are solid for a commuter scooter, but the listed 84 W power conflicts with the 15–18 mph claim, so verify real specs before buying.
How fast does it actually go?
GlareWheel claims 15–18 mph. The 84 W power figure in the listing is too low for that, so expect real speed to depend on rider weight and terrain, and confirm with the seller.
What is the range per charge?
Up to 15 miles is claimed. Real range is usually lower at top speed or on hills, so plan on roughly 8–12 miles for mixed commuting.
Can it handle hills?
It is rated for a 25-degree climb. That is decent for a commuter scooter, but sustained steep hills will drain the battery faster.
Does it fold, and how heavy is it?
Yes, it folds. Weight is not listed, but scooters with 12-inch air tires and this capacity typically run 35–45 lbs, which is heavy to carry far.
What comes in the box?
Typically the scooter, charger and manual. Confirm with the store whether a tool kit or phone mount is included.
What do buyers say about the GlareWheel EB-C1 Electric Scooter?
Rated 4.2 out of 5 from 28 ratings.
