Questions and answers

Is the NucBox K16 good for gaming?
It handles esports titles and older games at 1080p on low to medium settings thanks to the Radeon 680M. Recent AAA games will need low settings and may still struggle.
Can I upgrade the RAM and storage?
Yes. GMKtec's K-series mini PCs typically use accessible SO-DIMM slots and an M.2 SSD, so you can add memory or a larger drive yourself.
Does it come with Windows?
Most GMKtec NucBox listings ship with Windows 11 preinstalled. Check the specific listing, since barebone versions without RAM, SSD, or OS also exist.
How does it compare with the Ryzen 7 7840HS models?
The 7840HS has newer Zen 4 cores and a stronger Radeon 780M GPU, so it is faster for gaming and heavy work. The 7735HS is usually cheaper and fine for everyday tasks.
How many monitors can it drive?
The Ryzen 7 7735HS platform supports multiple displays over HDMI and USB-C, commonly two to three screens depending on the port layout of the specific model.
When is the best time to buy?
Mini PC prices move with RAM and SSD costs and sales events. Compare the 512 GB and 1 TB versions across stores and buy when the price sits near its recent low.
