How much weight can the Goobay scale handle?

It is rated to 50 kg, which covers standard checked and carry-on luggage. An overload indicator warns you if you go past the limit.

What units does it display?

It shows weight in kilograms, grams, pounds and ounces on an LCD screen. You can switch units to match your airline's limits.

Does it come with a battery?

Yes. A CR2032 battery is included, so it works out of the box. It also shuts off automatically to save power.

Can it hold a reading after I set the bag down?

Yes. The hold function locks the weight on screen, and a memory function keeps the last reading. That helps when a heavy bag is hard to read while hanging.

Is $16.30 a good price for this scale?

It is the only new price listed, at Fishpond.com as of November 7, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge it against. Compare it with other 50 kg digital scales before buying.

Can I weigh a bag and subtract the suitcase weight?

Yes. The tare function lets you zero out a container or strap so you see only the contents' weight.
