Our take on the Goodone 6 inch Thick Futon Mattress Japanese Floor Mattress

The Goodone is a 6-inch-thick Japanese-style floor futon in Full size, meant to be laid directly on the floor or used as a topper on a firm base. Its 6-inch loft is thicker than most floor pads, which suits side sleepers and guest setups better than a thin roll-up mat. At $124.99 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Pros
  • 6-inch thickness gives more padding than typical 2 to 4-inch floor mats
  • Full size fits one adult comfortably or two small sleepers
  • Works on the floor or as a topper on an existing mattress
  • Folds or rolls for storage in tight spaces
  • Simple setup with no frame or box spring needed
Cons
  • No recent price history, so it is hard to judge whether $124.99 is a good deal
  • Floor futons need regular airing and sunning to stay fresh
  • Firm feel with little edge support compared with a conventional mattress
  • Only one store lists it new, so price competition is limited
