Is the Pixel Watch worth it over a Fitbit?

If you want notifications, Google apps and a watch look with Fitbit tracking, yes. A plain Fitbit costs less and lasts days per charge, so pick that if battery life matters most.

Does this model work without a phone?

Only partly. GPS tracks runs and rides without your phone, but this is the GPS-only model with no LTE, so calls, messages and music streaming need your phone nearby.

How long does the battery last?

Google rates it at about 24 hours. With always-on display or long GPS workouts, expect to charge it daily.

Does it work with an iPhone?

No. The Pixel Watch is designed for Android phones and does not pair with iPhone.

The watch with the Chalk Active Band attached, a magnetic charging cable and the quick start guide. A power adapter is not included.

Google watches tend to drop around Black Friday and during spring and summer sales, and again when a newer model launches. Watch the price history before buying.

Our take on the Google Pixel Watch GQF4C GPS 41MM

The Google Pixel Watch is Google's first smartwatch, a round 41mm case with a domed AMOLED display and Fitbit health tracking built in. This GPS-only model has no LTE, so it needs your phone nearby for calls and data. The 1.2-inch screen is small and the rated battery life is about 24 hours, so most owners charge it daily.
