Is the Gorilla Carts GOR866D worth it?

If you move bulk material around a large yard, the 1,200 lb capacity and roll-over dump save real labor. For light garden work, a smaller and cheaper cart is enough.

How does it compare with a steel dump cart?

The poly bed will not rust or dent and is lighter than steel, but steel beds tolerate sharp debris and hot material better. Capacity and dump design are similar.

Do the tires need air?

Yes. The 13-inch tires are pneumatic, so check pressure before heavy loads and top them up as needed.

The bed measures 40 inches by 25 inches and holds 7 cu. ft., roughly 10 to 12 wheelbarrow loads of mulch.

The cart ships as a boxed kit with the poly bed, steel frame, four wheels, handle and hardware. Assembly is required.

Garden carts usually drop in price in early spring and around end-of-season clearance in fall. Watch the price history for dips outside those windows.

Our take on the Gorilla Carts GOR866D Heavy-Duty Poly Dump Cart

The Gorilla Carts GOR866D is a four-wheel garden dump cart with a 7 cu. ft. poly bed rated for 1,200 lb. Its patented roll-over dump lets you tip the whole bed to empty dirt, mulch or gravel without lifting it. The steel frame has a wider stance and zero-turn steering, and 13-inch pneumatic tires roll over rough lawns and gravel. It ships unassembled and needs a wrench and about an hour to build.
