Is the Gotrax KS1 worth it at $37.99?

Yes, if you want a stable first scooter for a toddler or preschooler. At $37.99 at Amazon as of November 3, 2026, it is near the bottom of its usual $35 to $55 range, so it is a low-risk buy.

What age is the KS1 suited to?

It fits roughly ages 2 to 5, or kids up to about 110 pounds. The fixed 33.7-inch handle height is the real limit, so taller kids will outgrow it fast.

How does it compare with a two-wheel scooter?

The third wheel and wide deck make it much harder to tip, which suits beginners. A two-wheel scooter is faster and more agile, so it is the better next step once balance is solid.

Do the wheels need air?

No. The 4.5-inch wheels are solid polyurethane, so they cannot go flat. The trade-off is a firmer, buzzier ride on rough pavement.

Does the handlebar adjust?

Yes, the handlebar is adjustable, but the range is narrow and tops out around 33.7 inches. Check your child's height against that before buying.

The scooter ships mostly assembled with the handlebar and hardware to attach. You need a screwdriver or the included Allen key for final setup.
