Is the Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro worth it?

It makes sense if you want lights up all year and use color scenes for holidays. If you only light up in December, cheaper seasonal strings cost far less.

How is it different from Govee's standard permanent outdoor lights?

The Pro line is the higher tier, aimed at longer runs and brighter output. Check the listed length and LED count against your roofline before buying.

Does it work with Alexa and Google Assistant?

Yes. It supports both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can switch scenes and colors by voice.

Does it need to be plugged in?

Yes. It is electric and wired, so you need an outdoor outlet near the run and a way to route the cable.

What is the best price right now?

The best new price is $349.99 at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026, and 4 stores sell it new.

Can I cut the strip to fit my roofline?

Plan the run around the listed length and LED spacing. Cutting or extending changes the setup, so confirm the kit covers your eaves first.
