- Is $279 a good price for the 100ft Govee set?
- It is the best new price among the two stores selling it new as of November 7, 2026. Permanent outdoor sets in this length usually sit in the high hundreds, so $279 is competitive for 100ft with app control.
- How bright are these lights?
- Each light delivers 26 lumens, which suits accent, wash and holiday effects rather than area lighting. Expect a wall-wash depth over 16 inches, not floodlight brightness.
- Can I cut or extend the string?
- Connectors are spaced every 16.4ft, which lets you route and join sections along the run. Plan the layout around those spacing points before mounting.
- Do they work with Alexa and Google Assistant?
- Yes. The lights support both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for on/off, color and scene commands, in addition to the Govee Home app.
- Can they stay up all year?
- Yes. They are IP67 waterproof with anti-UV material and rated from -4F to 140F, so they are designed for permanent outdoor mounting.
- What comes in the box?
- The set includes the 100ft light string with its connectors and mounting hardware for eaves, fences or corridors. Check the listing for the exact controller and power adapter contents.
