Is the Govee Neon Rope Light waterproof?

The light itself carries an IP67 water resistance rating, but Govee rates the product for indoor use and dry or damp conditions. Do not treat the power supply or connectors as waterproof.

Can it show more than one color at a time?

Yes. RGBIC control lets different segments display different colors, so it can do gradients, chasing effects and multi-color scenes rather than a single flat color.

Does it work with Alexa and Google Assistant?

Yes. It supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control, and also connects over Bluetooth for app setup and control.

It comes with brackets and adhesive. The flexible silicone body bends around corners, but on textured or painted walls the adhesive may need help from the brackets.

Our take on the Govee RGBIC Neon Rope Light

The Govee RGBIC Neon Rope Light is a flexible LED rope light in a silicone sleeve that bends around corners and into shapes. RGBIC means separate segments can show different colors at once, so it does gradients and chasing effects instead of one flat color. It works with Alexa and Google Assistant, has Bluetooth and app control, and supports music-reactive effects and timers. The best new price is $33.99 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, with 7 stores listing it new.

Best forGaming setups and desk or wall accentsRenters who want a soft, diffused glow without light spotsPeople who want app and voice-controlled color scenesIndoor accent lighting along shelves, ceilings or headboards

Pros

Diffused silicone cover hides individual LEDs, so no visible dots or gaps
RGBIC segments show multiple colors and animated effects at once
Flexible enough to bend around corners and shape by hand
Alexa and Google Assistant support plus app control and timers
Music-reactive modes for gaming and parties
IP67 rating on the light itself

Cons

Corded, 24V power supply, so placement is limited by the cable
Rated for indoor use and dry or damp spots, not full outdoor exposure
Adhesive mounting can fail on textured or painted walls; brackets help
Neon look is bulkier than flat tape light in tight spaces
App-dependent for most effects and scheduling
