Is this pantry cabinet worth it?

It is a reasonable buy if you need tall, narrow storage and accept engineered wood. If you want solid oak or heavy-duty shelving, spend more on a sturdier cabinet.

How much weight can the shelves hold?

Each shelf is rated for 11 lbs and the cabinet's total capacity is 176 lbs. That suits dishes, dry goods and small appliances, not heavy cookware or bulk storage.

Does it need to be anchored to the wall?

Yes. It is 71 inches tall and freestanding, and an anti-tip kit is included. Anchor it to a stud, especially in homes with children or pets.

What are the dimensions and depth?

It is 71 inches high, 39.25 inches wide and 15 inches deep. The shallow depth fits hallways and tight kitchen runs but limits how much you can store front to back.

How hard is assembly?

Expect a few hours with two people. The cabinet ships flat, and aligning the five doors and two drawers is the fiddly part.

When is the best time to buy it?

Furniture sales around major holidays and back-to-school events tend to bring the lowest prices. Check the price history before buying at full price.

Our take on the Gracie Oaks 71" H Kitchen Pantry Cabinet

The Gracie Oaks 71" H Kitchen Pantry Cabinet is a freestanding, Shaker-style storage unit in painted oak-finish engineered wood. It stands 71 inches tall and 39.25 inches wide, with five doors, two drawers, glass panels on the upper hutch, and 11 compartments. Its 15-inch depth keeps it close to the wall, so it fits narrow kitchen or dining areas. It is a mid-priced, assembly-required cabinet rather than a solid-wood heirloom.
