Is the Ellis coffee table solid wood or veneer?

It is built from reclaimed wood planks, so the top is solid wood rather than a veneer over particleboard. Expect knots, nail holes and color variation as part of the look.

How big is it and will it fit my sofa?

It is 48 inches long, which pairs well with sofas roughly 72 to 90 inches wide. Leave about 14 to 18 inches between the table and the sofa for legroom.

Does it have storage?

There is a fixed lower shelf for books, baskets or a throw, but no drawers or lift-top compartment. The open frame means whatever you store stays visible.

How many people does assembly take?

Plan on two people. The reclaimed wood top is heavy and the open frame needs to be squared up before the bolts are fully tightened.

It is listed as suitable for outdoor use, but reclaimed wood will weather and may gray over time if left in rain or direct sun. A covered porch is the safer spot.

When is the best time to buy it?

Watch for furniture sales around Memorial Day, Labor Day and Black Friday, when Gracie Oaks pieces are often discounted. Compare the live price across stores before ordering.

Our take on the Gracie Oaks Ellis 48" Reclaimed Wood Open Frame Coffee Table with Lower Shelf

The Gracie Oaks Ellis is a 48-inch coffee table built from reclaimed wood in an open-frame design, with a lower shelf for books, baskets or remotes. The reclaimed planks give each table a weathered, one-of-a-kind grain rather than a uniform factory finish. It is a large, heavy piece meant to anchor a living room seating group.
