Questions and answers

Is the GoMax worth it over a seat with a belt-installed base?
If you move the seat between cars or want a repeatable install, the rigid LATCH base is the reason to pay for it. If the seat stays in one car, a cheaper belt-installed infant seat does the same job.
How long will my baby fit in it?
It fits from 4 to 30 lb and up to 32 in. Most children reach one of those limits between 12 and 18 months, so plan on a convertible seat after that.
Does it need the base, or can I install it with a seat belt?
The seat is sold with the Insta-Install base, and the base is the intended install. Check the manual for belt-only use before relying on it in a car without lower LATCH anchors.
What is in the box?
The car seat, the Insta-Install rigid LATCH base, and the removable infant head and body supports. A separate extra base is sold on its own.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price was $209.99 at Kidsy as of November 4, 2026. Infant seats usually drop during registry and baby-gear sales, so compare the four stores before buying.
Where is the Graco GoMax Infant Car Seat ft. Insta-Install Rigid LATCH cheapest?
At Kidsy, for $209.99, 30% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
