Is the $79.99 price a good deal?

It matches the standard new-game price at all 7 stores listing it as of November 4, 2026, so there is no discount yet. Waiting rarely helps for a Rockstar launch; prices usually hold for months.

Does the box include a disc?

No. The box contains a download code only. You redeem it on a PlayStation account registered in the US or Canada and download the game.

Shipments begin arriving November 12, 2026 for pre-load, and the game is playable starting November 19, 2026.

Can I play it online with friends?

Not at launch. This is described as a single-player experience. Rockstar has not announced a separate online mode for this release.

What comes with the pre-order?

The Vintage Vice City Pack. The listing does not detail its contents, so treat it as cosmetic extras until Rockstar confirms.

Will it work on PS5 in other regions?

The code is restricted to PlayStation accounts registered in the US or Canada. A European or other-region account cannot redeem it.

Our take on the Grand Theft Auto VI (Code in Box)

Grand Theft Auto VI is Rockstar's open-world action game set in the state of Leonida, built around Vice City and its surrounding areas. This is the PS5 download edition: the box holds a code, not a disc, and the game is playable starting November 19, 2026, with pre-load shipments from November 12. The campaign is single-player only, and the code works only on a PlayStation account registered in the US or Canada. At $79.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the standard new-game price across the 7 stores listing it, so there is no discount to chase yet.
