Is this chainsaw worth it for occasional firewood cutting?

For light, occasional cutting it can do the job at a low price. If you cut often or need reliable dealer service, a used Stihl or Husqvarna in the same size class is the safer buy.

How does 58 cc compare with a 45 cc saw?

58 cc is roughly a 30 percent larger engine, which pulls a 20-inch bar with less bogging in hardwood. It also burns more fuel and weighs more, so it suits bigger logs rather than limbing.

What fuel mix does it need?

Most 58 cc two-stroke saws of this type run on a 40:1 or 50:1 gas-to-oil mix. Confirm the ratio in the manual before the first tank, since a wrong mix can score the cylinder.

Does it come with a chain and bar?

Listings for this saw typically include the 20-inch bar and chain, but confirm the box contents with the seller. You will also need bar oil, a mixing can and a scrench for adjustments.

When is the price lowest?

Generic gas saws like this tend to drop in fall and pre-holiday sales and during spring yard-care promotions. Check the price history chart before buying.

Our take on the Great Choice Products High Power Chainsaw

The Great Choice Products High Power Chainsaw is a gas-powered saw with a 58 cc engine and a 20-inch straight bar, aimed at homeowners and casual firewood cutters who want a large bar without a premium brand price. It is a generic import design, so parts and service support are thinner than for Stihl, Husqvarna or Echo saws. No current store price was provided, so check the live comparison before buying.
