Questions and answers

Is a shock collar safe for my dog?
Shock collars are legal in most of the US but banned in some countries and discouraged by many trainers. Use the lowest level that gets a response, and pair it with reward-based training rather than relying on correction alone.
Does the automatic bark mode work without the remote?
Yes. The collar detects barking through a vibration sensor and corrects on its own, so you can leave the remote aside. Expect false triggers from other dogs barking or from shaking and scratching.
Will it fit my dog?
The collar adjusts from 6 to 24 inches, which covers most small, medium and large breeds. Measure your dog's neck and leave room for two fingers under the strap.
Is it waterproof?
The listing does not state a waterproof rating. Treat it as splash-resistant at best and remove it before swimming or bathing until the maker confirms otherwise.
How long does the battery last?
The listing does not give a runtime figure. Recharge both the collar and remote before first use and expect shorter life in automatic bark mode, which corrects frequently.
When is the best time to buy?
No price history is available for this collar, so there is no known seasonal low. Compare it with other 500-yard-plus remote bark collars before committing.
