Is the Haden Dorset kettle worth $69.95?

You are paying for the retro design and the large 57.5 fl oz capacity. If you only need hot water and no styling, a basic stainless kettle costs less. It was $59.46 on November 5, 2026, so waiting for a dip below $69.95 is reasonable.

How much water does it hold?

57.5 fl oz, about 1.7 liters or 0.45 gallons, roughly seven 8 oz cups. That is on the large side for a home kettle.

Does it have temperature settings?

No. It has one boil setting, a water meter and automatic shut-off. There is no variable temperature or keep-warm mode.

How fast does it boil?

The 1500 W element brings a full kettle to the boil in a few minutes. A smaller fill boils faster, and the water meter helps you fill only what you need.

What finishes does it come in?

Chrome, white, multicolor and stainless steel. All are stainless steel bodies, so the colored versions are coated.

Does it shut off automatically?

Yes. It switches off when the water reaches a boil, which is standard for this type of kettle.
