Our take on the Halloween Decorations Indoor - 49" Animated Floating Lighted Witch Broom

This is a 49-inch animated Halloween prop shaped like a floating witch's broom, lit from within and meant to hang indoors so it appears to hover on its own. It is a decor piece, not a costume or toy, and the animation plus lighting is what sets it apart from a static broom. No current price was available to compare against its recent range, so check the price history before buying.

Best forHalloween fans decorating a hallway, porch or entrywayHouseholds that want a hanging prop with light and motionPeople who prefer reusable decor over pumpkins and cobwebs
Small spaces that can't fit a full-size animatronic
Pros
  • 49-inch length gives real presence without floor space
  • Lights up, so it reads well in dim rooms and at night
  • Hangs from a ceiling hook or bracket, no assembly footprint
  • Reusable year after year, unlike perishable decor
  • Broom theme suits witch and horror setups alike
Cons
  • Indoor use only; rain and wind will damage it
  • Needs a nearby outlet or batteries depending on the version
  • Animation and light can be repetitive for the price
  • Hanging hardware and power source may not be included

What reviewers say

Buyers of animated hanging Halloween props like this generally like the effect in a dark hallway and say it draws comments from guests. Complaints tend to focus on motor noise and on how small the motion looks in a large room.

Pros
  • Strong visual impact once the lights are on
  • Easy to hang and store flat after the season
  • Guests notice it right away at the front door
Cons
  • Motor or mechanism noise is audible in quiet rooms
  • Motion is subtler than product photos suggest
  • Build feels light and plasticky for the price

Questions and answers

Is it worth it compared with a static broom?
If you want movement and light, yes; the animation is the whole point. If you only want a silhouette, a plain hanging broom costs far less.
Does it need batteries or an outlet?
Most versions of this prop run on batteries, and some include an adapter. Confirm the power source on the listing before you buy, since it affects where you can hang it.
Can I hang it outdoors?
It is sold as indoor decor. Rain, wind and cold will damage the lights and moving parts, so keep it under a covered porch at most.
How big is it in a room?
At 49 inches it is roughly four feet long, so it needs a ceiling height of about 7 feet or more to hang clear of head height.
When is it cheapest?
Halloween props usually drop right after October 31 and again in early September clearance. Watch the price history rather than buying at full price in mid-October.
