Our take on the Home Accents Holiday 3 Ft. Halloween Classics Animated Led Dancing Skeleton

This is a 3 ft indoor Halloween prop from Home Accents Holiday. It is sound activated: its head, mouth and arms move and its eyes light up when it hears noise. It runs on 3 AA batteries through a battery pack, so there is no cord to manage. It is a tabletop or floor-standing piece for indoor use only, not a yard decoration.

Questions and answers

Is it worth buying?
If you want an indoor prop that reacts to sound, it covers that job at a low price. If you need outdoor decor or a taller centerpiece, look elsewhere.
Does it need batteries or a plug?
It runs on 3 AA batteries in a battery pack. No outlet or cord is needed, so placement is flexible.
Can it be used outside?
No. It is rated for indoor use only, so keep it out of rain and direct weather.
How does it turn on?
It is sound activated, so it starts moving and lighting up when it hears noise. Expect it to trigger on music, talking or a doorbell.
How tall is it and where should it go?
It stands 3 ft tall, which suits a table, entryway floor or porch inside the door. It is not a full-size standing figure.
When is it cheapest?
Halloween props usually drop after October 31 and again in early September clearance. Watch the price history rather than buying at full price in early October.
