Our take on the Happrun 2500 Ansi Smart Projector

The Happrun 2500 ANSI Smart Projector is a 1080p home projector with built-in Google TV, so it streams Netflix, YouTube and Hulu without a streaming stick. It claims 2,500 ANSI lumens with HDR10 and 4K decoding, plus dual 10W Dolby speakers, Wi-Fi 6, AirPlay and Google Cast. Auto focus, auto keystone and a built-in adjustable stand make setup quick. No current price or price history was available, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is 2,500 ANSI lumens bright enough for daytime viewing?
It is fine for a dim room and usable with some light control, but washed out in direct daylight. For a bright living room, close the blinds or watch in the evening.
Does it show real 4K?
No. The native resolution is 1920 x 1080. It accepts and decodes 4K input and supports HDR10, but the picture is upscaled to 1080p.
Do I need a streaming stick?
No. Google TV is built in, with the major apps and a voice remote with Google Assistant. You only need Wi-Fi and your app logins.
Can I cast from my phone?
Yes. It supports Google Cast for Android and Apple AirPlay for iPhone and iPad, plus Bluetooth 5.2 for audio.
What is in the box?
The projector and a voice remote with Google Assistant. Check the listing for whether an HDMI or power cable is included.
When is it cheapest?
No price history is available yet, so there is no reliable pattern. Compare across stores before buying and watch for seasonal sales.
