Our take on the Harper Mill Meadows 9 in. x 60 in. 4.4mm 6mil Waterproof Rigid Core Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring, Ackland

Harper Mill Meadows is a click-lock rigid core luxury vinyl plank in the Ackland colorway, sold in 9 in. x 60 in. planks with a 4.4 mm core and a 6 mil wear layer. The long, wide format and waterproof core suit open rooms, basements and bathrooms. The best new price is $68.52 at Wayfair as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no meaningful recent range to compare against.

Pros
  • Wide 9 in. by 60 in. planks cover area fast with fewer joints
  • Waterproof rigid core handles spills and damp rooms
  • Click-lock edges need no adhesive and allow floating installs
  • 6 mil wear layer is fine for normal residential traffic
  • 4.4 mm core is thin and light, easy to cut and carry
Cons
  • 6 mil wear layer is entry-level; heavy pets and commercial use will wear it faster
  • Thin 4.4 mm core feels harder and sounds hollow underfoot
  • Only one store lists it new, so price shopping is limited
  • Long planks need a flat subfloor; uneven floors show at the joints
  • Ackland is a single colorway, so matching other rooms is limited

Questions and answers

Is the 6 mil wear layer enough?
For normal residential rooms, yes. It is on the low end for vinyl, so expect it to show scuffs sooner in high-traffic homes with large dogs.
Can it go in a bathroom?
Yes. The rigid core and waterproof construction suit bathrooms and laundry rooms, but seal the perimeter and wipe up standing water.
Does it need underlayment?
Most rigid core planks have an attached pad or accept a thin underlayment. Check the plank backing before adding one, since a thick pad can stress the click joints.
How much floor does a box cover?
Coverage per box depends on the plank count, which the listing should state. Measure the room, add 10 percent for cuts, and divide by the box coverage.
Is $68.52 a good price?
With only one new listing, there is no recent price range to judge against. Compare per square foot with similar 6 mil rigid core planks before buying.
Can it be installed over existing tile?
Usually yes, if the tile is sound and the grout lines are filled level. The thin core follows the subfloor, so any dip will telegraph through.
Where is the Harper Mill Meadows 9 in. x 60 in. 4.4mm 6mil Waterproof Rigid Core Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring, Ackland cheapest?
At Wayfair, for $68.52, as of our latest check.
