Is the HART 4-tool combo kit worth it for a beginner?

Yes, if your jobs are light: furniture assembly, hanging shelves, small repairs and occasional cutting. It gives you the drill, impact driver and saw plus two batteries and a charger at a lower cost than buying them separately.

Do the batteries fit other HART 20V tools?

Yes. The two 1.5Ah batteries and charger work with other HART 20V cordless tools, so you can expand the kit later without buying new batteries.

How long do the 1.5Ah batteries last?

Expect decent runtime from the drill and impact driver for small jobs, but the reciprocating saw will drain a 1.5Ah pack quickly under continuous cutting. A larger HART 20V battery is the fix for saw-heavy work.

What is included in the box?

A 1/2-inch brushless drill/driver, an impact driver, a reciprocating saw, two 1.5Ah 20V lithium-ion batteries, a charger and a portable storage bag.

Does the drill have a brushless motor?

Yes, the 1/2-inch drill/driver is brushless, which gives it better efficiency and longer motor life. The impact driver and reciprocating saw in this kit are not listed as brushless.

When is the best time to buy this kit?

Combo kits like this see the deepest discounts around Black Friday, Father's Day and spring home-improvement sales. Check the price history before buying outside those windows.

Our take on the HART 20-Volt Cordless 4-Tool Combo Kit

The HART 20-Volt Cordless 4-Tool Combo Kit bundles a brushless 1/2-inch drill/driver, an impact driver, a reciprocating saw and two 1.5Ah lithium-ion batteries with a charger and a storage bag. It runs on HART's 20V battery platform, so the batteries and charger work across the wider HART 20V line. The brushless drill is the standout piece; the 1.5Ah packs are small, so expect short runtimes on the saw. It is a starter kit for light drilling, fastening and occasional cutting rather than heavy daily use.
