Is the Hart 20V 4-tool combo kit worth it?

For light home projects and a first tool set, yes. The brushless drill and impact driver cover most fastening and drilling jobs, and the shared 20V batteries carry over to other Hart tools. Skip it if you need a circular saw or heavy cutting.

How long do the 1.5Ah batteries last?

Expect decent runtime in the drill and impact driver and short runtime in the reciprocating saw, which draws much more current. Buying a larger-capacity Hart 20V battery later is the usual fix.

Are the batteries compatible with other Hart 20V tools?

Yes. The included 20V lithium-ion batteries and charger work with the rest of Hart's 20V lineup, so bare tools are a cheaper way to expand.

A 1/2-inch brushless drill/driver, an impact driver, a reciprocating saw, two 1.5Ah 20V batteries, a charger and a storage bag.

Does the drill have a brushless motor?

Yes, the 1/2-inch drill/driver is brushless, which means better efficiency and longer motor life than a brushed drill. The other tools in the kit are not listed as brushless.

When is the best time to buy this kit?

Combo kits like this see the deepest discounts around Black Friday, Father's Day and end-of-season tool sales. Check the price history before buying outside those windows.

Our take on the Hart 20V Cordless 4-Tool Combo Kit

The Hart 20V Cordless 4-Tool Combo Kit bundles a brushless 1/2-inch drill/driver, an impact driver, a reciprocating saw and two 1.5Ah lithium-ion batteries with a charger and a storage bag. It runs on Hart's 20V battery platform, so the batteries swap across all four tools and the wider Hart 20V line. The brushless drill is the standout piece; the 1.5Ah packs are small, so expect short runtimes on the saw. It is a starter kit for light household work rather than a contractor set.
