Our take on the Hdj Kitchen Knife Set, 14Pcs Knife Set with Block and Built-in Sharpener

The Hdj 14-Piece Knife Set is a budget kitchen block set with stainless steel blades and a built-in sharpener in the block. It covers the basics: chef's, bread, slicing and utility knives plus steak knives and kitchen tools. The set has held at $23.99 since October 28, 2026, so there is no cheaper day to wait for. At that price it is an entry-level set, not a long-term investment.

Questions and answers

Is the Hdj 14-piece knife set worth it?
At $23.99 it is a reasonable starter set for light cooking. If you cook daily and want blades that hold an edge, spend more on a smaller forged set.
What is included in the 14 pieces?
Expect the main prep knives, steak knives and common kitchen tools such as a peeler or scissors, plus the block. Check the listing's piece list before buying if you need a specific knife.
How does the built-in sharpener work?
You pull each knife through slots in the block. It restores a usable edge quickly but removes metal each time, so use it sparingly.
Are the knives dishwasher safe?
Hand wash and dry them. Dishwasher heat and detergent dull edges and can pit budget stainless steel.
Has the price been lower?
No. It has been $23.99 since October 28, 2026, the lowest and highest price recorded in that period.
Is this set good for a first apartment?
Yes. It covers most basic cutting tasks in one purchase, and replacing a single worn knife later costs little.
What do buyers say about the Hdj Kitchen Knife Set, 14Pcs Knife Set with Block and Built-in Sharpener?
Rated 4.3 out of 5 from 6 ratings.
