Is the Heat Storm HS-1500-PHX worth it?

For a garage, basement or bathroom that needs fast supplemental heat, yes. It is not a substitute for central heating in a large open space.

How much space will it heat?

Treat it as a zone heater for roughly 150 to 300 square feet in a well-insulated room. Larger or poorly insulated spaces will feel uneven warmth.

Does it need a special circuit?

It draws about 12.5 amps at 1,500 watts, so plug it into a dedicated 15-amp circuit. Sharing a circuit with other loads can trip the breaker.

Can I control it with my phone?

Yes, through the Heat Storm Wi-Fi app, which supports scheduling and remote on/off. Pairing can take a few tries on some networks.

What comes in the box?

The heater, a wall-mount bracket and mounting hardware. A power cord is attached; no remote is included.

Prices tend to dip in fall and around winter sales, and again in spring when stores clear stock. Its current best price is already near its recent low.

Our take on the Heat Storm HS-1500-PHX Wi-Fi Infrared Heater

The Heat Storm HS-1500-PHX is a wall-mounted infrared heater rated at 1,500 watts and roughly 5,000 BTU, with two heat settings and Wi-Fi control through the Heat Storm app. It mounts on a wall like a flat panel and uses infrared quartz elements plus a fan to push warm air into a room. It is a spot and supplemental heater for a room or zone, not a whole-house replacement. Its latest best price stands near the low end of its recent range, so it is a reasonable time to buy if you need one.
