Our take on the Moifoi 1500w Space Heater Ceramic Small Fan Heater for Indoor Use

The Moifoi is a small ceramic fan heater rated at 1500 watts, about 8.9 inches tall and 2.3 pounds. It uses forced air over a ceramic element, with a thermostat, tip-over switch, overheat protection and automatic shut-off. Its 50 sq ft heating area suits a desk, a bathroom or a spot beside a chair, not a whole room. It is a budget-priced personal heater rather than a whole-room appliance.

Questions and answers

Is 1500 watts enough for a bedroom?
It is enough for a small, well-insulated space of roughly 50 sq ft, such as a desk area or bathroom. A full bedroom will stay uneven, and the unit pulls about 12.5 amps, so avoid sharing the circuit with other high-draw appliances.
Does it have a thermostat?
Yes. It has an adjustable thermostat plus automatic shut-off, overheat protection and a tip-over switch. Those are the basics you want in a portable heater.
How loud is it?
It is a forced-air heater, so expect continuous fan noise at the higher setting. It is fine for background warmth but not silent.
What safety features does it have?
It has a tip-over switch, overheat protection and automatic shut-off. Keep it on a flat surface and clear of curtains and bedding.
Is it cheaper to run than a space heater with a higher rating?
Running cost tracks wattage, not the label. At 1500 watts it costs the same per hour as any other 1500-watt heater; a lower setting cuts cost but also heat.
When is the best time to buy?
Small heaters usually discount in late winter and early spring as stores clear stock. Check the price history before buying in a cold snap.
