Our take on the Helokeep 26 inch Fat Tire Electric Bike for Adults

The Helokeep is a Class 3 fat-tire e-bike with a 750W geared hub motor, a 48V 15.6Ah battery and 26-inch fat tires on a high-carbon steel frame. It tops out at 20 mph with a claimed 35-mile range, has front suspension, 7 speeds and disc brakes, and is rated for riders from 5'5" to 6'5" and up to 330 lb. At $450 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against. That is low for a 750W fat-tire bike, which is the main reason to look at it.

Questions and answers

Is the Helokeep fat tire e-bike worth $450?
At $450 it is cheap for a 750W, 48V 15.6Ah fat-tire bike. Expect heavy steel construction and a range well under the claimed 35 miles at full assist. It suits budget riders more than daily long-distance commuters.
How fast does it go and how far on a charge?
It is a Class 3 bike with a 20 mph top speed. The claimed maximum range is 35 miles, but that figure assumes low assist; expect less when using the throttle or high pedal-assist.
How long does the battery take to charge?
About 8 hours from empty with the included charger. Plan on overnight charging, and note the battery is rated for 2 years.
Who fits on this bike?
Helokeep lists a rider height range of 5'5" to 6'5" and a 330 lb maximum load. The 26-inch wheels and steel frame make it a large, heavy bike, so shorter riders should check standover clearance.
Does it come assembled?
No. Assembly is required, typically handlebars, front wheel, pedals and seat. Budget for a shop check if you are not comfortable adjusting brakes and derailleurs yourself.
Is it safe to ride on roads?
It has disc brakes and a front suspension fork, but the listing shows no NRTL safety certification for the battery. Charge it attended and on a hard surface, and have a shop inspect the brakes and wiring after assembly.
Where is the Helokeep 26 inch Fat Tire Electric Bike for Adults cheapest?
At Walmart, for $450.00, 38% off, as of our latest check.
