Is the Hemvt drafting table worth it at $122?

At $122 at English Elm as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a tilting glass top, drawers and wheels in one piece. Comparable wooden drafting tables usually cost more, but expect lighter-duty storage.

How far does the top tilt and does it lock?

The tabletop adjusts from 0 to 70 degrees, so it goes from flat for writing to steep for painting. The tilt mechanism holds the angle you set.

Is the glass top safe for cutting and heavy use?

The top is tempered glass, which resists scratches and stains and is stronger than standard glass. Avoid cutting directly on it and use a mat; heavy impacts can still crack tempered glass.

What are the assembled dimensions and weight?

It measures about 40.55 by 23.62 by 30.70 inches and weighs 38 lbs assembled. The box is roughly 39.76 by 25.98 by 5.70 inches and 41.8 lbs.

Do the wheels lock, and can it fit through a doorway?

All four casters have brakes, so the table stays put while you work. At about 40.5 inches wide it rolls through standard doorways.

When is the price lowest?

The current $122 at English Elm is already near the bottom of its recent range. Watch for back-to-school and holiday craft sales, when drafting tables typically dip.
