The Henckels Elan is a 14-piece kitchen knife set in a wood block with built-in self-sharpening slots. Blades are one-piece forged German stainless steel, and the set covers chef, santoku, bread, steak, paring and serrated utility knives plus kitchen shears. It is dishwasher safe, which is unusual for forged knives. At $119.99 at Kohl's as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, so the price is working in your favor even though owner ratings are lukewarm.
