Is this set worth it at $129.95?

At $129.95 at Belk as of November 5, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a forged German steel set with a self-sharpening block. Comparable Henckels sets often cost more.

How does the self-sharpening block work?

Angled ceramic or carbide slots in the block hone the edge each time you pull a knife out or slide it back in. It keeps knives usable without manual sharpening but is not a substitute for occasional proper sharpening.

Are the knives dishwasher safe?

Henckels lists them as dishwasher safe but recommends hand washing. Detergent and heat can dull edges and wear handles faster.

What is included in the 7 pieces?

The set includes an 8-inch chef's knife, a santoku, a utility knife, a paring knife, kitchen shears and the self-sharpening block. Check the listing for the exact piece list, since counts vary by set.

How does it compare with the Henckels Definition or International sets?

Graphite sits in the mid range: forged German steel and a self-sharpening block at a lower price than the Definition line. Definition knives are typically heavier and finished more finely but lack the built-in sharpener.

Knife sets usually drop during holiday sales and store-wide kitchen events. The current $129.95 at Belk is already near the low end of its recent range.
