Is the Hisense QD5 good for gaming?

It handles casual gaming at 4K 60 Hz, but the 60 Hz panel and lack of VRR make it a weak pick for fast competitive play on a PS5 or Xbox Series X.

How does QLED differ from a regular LED TV?

QLED adds a quantum-dot layer for wider, more saturated color. On a budget set like this the gain is in color, not brightness or contrast.

What is included in the box?

The TV, a Roku remote, a stand and power cable are standard. Check the listing for the exact remote and stand included.

Is $179.99 a good price for a 55-inch 4K TV?

Yes. That is at the low end for a 55-inch 4K QLED set, and it is the only new price listed as of November 6, 2026.

Does it need a soundbar?

Most owners will want one. The built-in speakers are adequate for news but thin for movies and music.

Yes. It is a flat panel with standard VESA mounting, though the mount is sold separately.
