Is the Arahi 9 good for overpronation?

Yes. It is Hoka's stability shoe, with a J-Frame foam guide along the inner side to limit inward roll. It suits mild to moderate overpronation better than severe cases.

How does it compare to the Bondi?

The Bondi is a max-cushion neutral shoe; the Arahi 9 is lighter and adds stability. Choose the Arahi for pronation control, the Bondi for maximum softness.

What is the drop and weight?

The drop is 8 mm and the listed weight is about 10.87 oz. That is a moderate drop and mid-weight build for a stability trainer.

Does it come in wide widths?

Yes, normal and wide widths are offered across most men's sizes from 7 to 15.5.

No. There is no Gore-Tex version, so it is a fair-weather road shoe.

Our take on the Hoka Running Shoes Arahi 9

The Arahi 9 is Hoka's stability road shoe, built to control overpronation without the firm, blocky feel of a traditional support shoe. It uses a J-Frame foam guide along the inner side, an 8 mm drop and a mesh upper, and weighs about 10.9 oz in a men's sample size. The best new price is $154.95 at Zappos as of November 7, 2026, which is close to the $150–160 list range these usually sell for, so it is a fair price rather than a deep markdown.
