HOM 4K Portable Digital Camera 48 MP

Our take on the HOM 4K Portable Digital Camera 48 MP

The HOM 4K Portable Digital Camera is a budget point-and-shoot that claims 48 MP stills and 4K video, with a 128GB storage capacity and an electronic viewfinder. Its listing specs are inconsistent: the sensor is listed as 8 MP and the screen as 48 inches, which are almost certainly swapped or mislabeled figures. It sells for $80.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026, the only new price available, so there is no recent range to compare against. At 2.8 out of 5 from 13 ratings, buyer satisfaction is low.

Questions and answers

Is the HOM 4K camera worth $80.99?

Only as a cheap starter or backup camera. At 2.8 out of 5 from 13 ratings, most buyers were disappointed, and a used phone likely takes better photos for the same money.

Does it really shoot 48 MP?

The listing is contradictory: it advertises 48 MP but lists the sensor as 8 MP. Treat the 48 MP figure with suspicion and expect output closer to the lower number.

Is the screen really 48 inches?

No. A portable camera cannot have a 48-inch screen; that figure is almost certainly a mislabeled spec. Expect a small rear display of a few inches.

How much storage does it hold?

The listed capacity is 128GB, enough for hours of 4K video. Check whether that is built-in memory or a bundled card before buying.

Does it come with a battery?

The battery is listed as required and installed, so it should ship with one. Confirm the charger is included, since budget cameras often omit it.

When is the best time to buy it?

It is $80.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026, and only one store prices it new, so discounts are unlikely outside holiday sales. There is no recent price history to time a drop against.

Where is the HOM 4K Portable Digital Camera 48 MP cheapest?

What do buyers say about the HOM 4K Portable Digital Camera 48 MP?
