Our take on the HomeStretch Milan Manual Reclining Sofa with Drop Down Table in Espresso

The HomeStretch Milan is a three-seat manual reclining sofa in Espresso faux leather with a center drop-down table that folds out between the two end seats. It uses a pull-handle recline mechanism rather than power, and the center back folds down to reveal cupholders and a table surface. Seat height is 22 inches and seat depth 20 inches, with 67 inches between the arms and a 350 lb weight capacity. It is a mid-priced import sofa, so check current store pricing against its recent range before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the HomeStretch Milan sofa worth it?
It is a reasonable pick if you want a reclining sofa with a built-in table and do not want to pay for power recline. Faux leather and non-removable cushions mean it is a mid-term purchase, not a heirloom.
Does the center console have cupholders?
Yes. The center back folds down into a table surface with cupholders, so the middle seat becomes a console when not in use.
How much weight does each seat hold?
The listed maximum weight capacity is 350 lbs. That figure applies to the sofa as rated, so keep heavier users toward the ends where the reclining mechanisms are.
Do I need an outlet for this sofa?
No. It is a manual recline sofa with pull handles, so it needs no power cord and works during an outage.
Will it fit through a standard doorway?
It is not marked oversized, but measure the door and hallway against the sofa's width before ordering. Reclining sofas often need the backs removed or a wide entry.
When is the price lowest?
Reclining sofas usually discount around major holiday sales and during store clearance events. Compare the current price with the product's price history before buying.
