Is the Honda EU7000iS worth the price?

If you need quiet, clean 240V power for home backup or an RV, the inverter output and low noise justify the premium. For occasional job-site power, a cheaper open-frame unit does the same job louder.

How long does it run on a tank?

About 6.4 hours at rated load and up to 16 hours at quarter load on its 5.1-gallon tank.

Can it power a house during an outage?

It supplies 5,500W continuous and 7,000W peak at 120/240V, enough for a transfer switch feeding essentials like a fridge, furnace and lights. Large central AC or electric heat will exceed it.

Honda rates it at 58 dB(A) at rated load, roughly normal conversation level, and auto idle makes it quieter at light loads.

What comes in the box?

The generator, a wheel kit for moving it, a battery for electric start and the owner's manual. Fuel and oil are not included.

Generator prices tend to dip outside storm season and during fall sales. Track the price history here rather than buying right after a widely reported outage.
