Our take on the Hongge 24V Kids Ride On Car with Parent Remote Control and Music

The Hongge 24V Kids Ride On Car is a battery-powered toy car for young children, sized about 38 x 24 x 23 inches and weighing roughly 30 lb. It runs on a 24V battery and includes a parent remote control plus built-in music. The 24V system is stronger than the 6V and 12V cars most parents start with, so it suits older or heavier kids better.

Questions and answers

Is 24V too fast for a young child?
24V cars are the fastest common class of ride-on, so they suit older or heavier kids best. Use the parent remote and low speed setting for younger riders.
How long does the battery last per charge?
Hongge does not publish a run time for this model. Expect noticeably shorter runs with music and lights on, and plan on a few hours to recharge.
What age and weight is it for?
The listing gives no age or weight limit. Most 24V cars of this size are aimed at roughly ages 3 to 8, so check the seat and harness against your child.
Does the parent remote override the child's controls?
On cars like this the remote typically takes over steering and speed when engaged. Confirm the remote's range and brake behavior before letting a child drive alone.
What comes in the box?
Expect the car, the 24V battery and charger, the parent remote, and assembly hardware. A harness or seat belt is common but not confirmed for this model.
When is the price lowest?
Ride-on cars usually drop around Black Friday and in spring clearance sales. Check the price history chart before buying outside those windows.
Where is the Hongge 24V Kids Ride On Car with Parent Remote Control and Music cheapest?
At Macy's, for $197.99, 69% off, as of our latest check.
